Lily Soobin An recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Public Health. She has written for the International Vaccines Access Center and is excited to explore the health field both through writing and through her ultimate goal of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Lucy A. Snyder is a freelance writer who lives in Columbus, OH. She has a BS in biology and an MA in journalism. Her articles have appeared in publications such as Writer’s Digest and Electronic Products, and she works as a freelance biomedical editor for research scientists.

She’s been interested in the natural history and pharmacology of medicinal plants for a long time. In her former role as managing editor of Indiana University’s Biotech Project, she developed the Cyberbotanica medicinal botany site. She’s particularly interested in cannabis because several people close to her suffer from chronic pain and other ailments that are not well-addressed by traditional pharmaceuticals.
